Is anyone keeping up with the NFA/ suppressor lawsuits?

Trump’s DOJ under the leadership of Pam Bondi, who he says “is doing a great job”, is opposed to removing the NFA registration requirements and has petitioned the courts to keep them in place regardless of what the Congress voted.
Trump is telling us he is pro-2A and promised in the Big Beautiful Bill to get rid of the NFA which the Congress did by repealing the tax, all the while letting (or maybe he’s telling) his AG to continue to keep in place the NFA and fight for it in court. More of his 5D chess BS.

I’ll never vote for a democrat but I’ll be sitting out next years mid-term election along with a lot of former supporters and watch the dems take back the House and Senate. Then laugh while Trump’s last 2 years will be mired in impeachment hearings and that will be the price he pays for turning his back on us and appointing an Anti-2A AG.

Torn, is this the only thing that's got you so mad about Trump ---that he only approved of getting rid of the $200 silencer tax without also getting rid of the registration requirement?

Seems to me it's a big win for America's sport shooters and even hunters, although it doesn't seem like it really has much of an impact on Second Amendment or gun rights analysis.

P.S. I don't think enough judges, lawyers, or politicians care about the US Constitution anymore, and I don't just mean just the 2A but also the 10th amendment, and the whole "separate branches of government" thing.

Nobody really cares about asking the question of whether "Congress has authority" to engage in gun control because it's not an enumerated power in our Constitution.
Modern thinking ---that is to say muddy, sloppy, emotional thinking-- holds that when your side is in power the feds can do whatever they want,
because there are no limits on good government! Our constitution sets no limits on how strong and how far a well intentioned law can reach.

Trump has been doing a lot of really good things like closing the border, deportations, restoring energy independence, etc. But his choices of AG in the past (Sessions, Barr) and now Bondi have been dismal failures. The Constitution is the most important document we have and he promised to restore some of the rights that have been illegally taken. Congress’s repeal of the NFA tax was to allow some of the rights to be restored yet his AG is fighting to keep them away from us. He could and should order her to withdraw or fire her. It’s his call plain and simple.

By failing to fulfill this promise by allowing his AG to ignore or try and skirt around Congress, he no longer deserves my support. If you or anyone else wants to give him a pass that’s your business but I believe in holding politicians accountable and continuing to support them doesn’t do that.
