to expect a complete description of an item listed in the classifieds?

It is frustrating and annoying to see an ad without enough information to give an indication of the value. Just saying that it is a "Remington 700, .308 cal" or a "Savage 110, .243 cal" isn't enough. There are many sub-models of each of those with significant differences in value. It seems to me that if someone really wants to sell or trade a weapon his chances of doing so are greatly increased by an accurate description. I won't even get into a discussion of ads without pictures.

I will stop before this turns into a real rant; but I think we have all seen many examples of what I'm saying.

I think it's either the seller just doesn't know better (which I can't imagine) or they are just to lazy to put any effort into the add! Not everyone has what it takes to be a sales person lol

Pics do sell. We all know what a ford truck looks like too.
And no offence there napp, but getting excited over a post, to find the location is a zip that I have to look up, or a general area that actually 100 miles away is just as frustrating. If I cant see what is being sold, or where it actually is, Im moving on.

I used to get a little pumped on that also...but I realize some people do not have that information or just didn't care to learn enough about what selling....

I can understand when someone omits something that they just don't know; but in many cases the omitted info is stamped somewhere on the weapon. I also would expect the seller of a Savage to know if the rifle was equipped with the AccuTrigger...or not.
