I don't know why it bothers her. She's 5'5", I'm 6'2". I have to just about kneel to see the gap. Didn't even know it was there until she pointed it out, LOL.

In that case, I’m convinced there’s a gap under mine!
As long as she doesn't cook in it, no harm, no foul.
