Is it September yet?

Was out practicing with the new bow I got from a member off here earlier this evening, was shooting at about 30-35 yards and a doe walks out of the woodline about 15 yards behind my target. Such a tease! Makes me even more ready for the season to open. Not the best of placement on my shots but pretty good grouping for roughly 35 yards and not shooting a bow in over 3 years.

I think that most of us are at the point that we are beyond ready for the opener. I live for that time of year when there is that chill in the air and the leaves start to change. Getting to watch the world awaken and to see the sun rise through the trees is a sight that warms my heart and stirs my soul. That is where I find true peace.

I can agree with you there. I didn't get to go much last year, but I got a promotion at work and have weekends off now so I will be able to go now every weekend. Sometimes the best times of life are spent in the woods.

I'm ready too! Picked up a crossbow from another ODT member last year but never had the chance to kill anything with it. Super excited for what this year holds.
