We were in Cloudland Canyon State park, it's right outside the Ringgold area near Trenton, Ga.
Very beautiful place, you NW guy's have it made..

This guy loved peanuts!!
He'd come sit right beside me while I was eating them looking so sad, until I'd offer him one, then he'd run to the tree and eat it like no tommorrow.

Then he got full and lazy..

While I agree North GA has a little something to offer, it doesn't even compare to several states out west imo. Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho are amazing if you love being outdoors.
Glad you had a great time and were able to escape for a few.....

Cloudland Canyon is almost in my back yard. It and going up to Elijay are some of my favorite rides.

I miss the East Tn mountains and foothills where I'm from, everything is green, all those summers spent on Boone and Watuaga lake camping, skiing, hiking, riding my bike down those deep country roads..I'm home sick.
