I don't think you'd have any problem since there was no record of your friend registering the car, so technically you still do have it. Of course you'd have to pay and wait for a new title. I'd want some money for sure them.

No tax you can get lost title 35 bucks at hapeville office and get title that day and walk out and hand it to the guy and sign off correct area..... I would tell him to pay you for his problem and your time 100 sounds fair if not tell him best of luck

Why would he have had to pay registration twice? He should have registered it and paid TAVT a couple of weeks ago it appears. He is now selling it and trying to avoid paying registration and TAVT once (not twice). Sounds shady.

I guess folks dont get jokes these days. On a serious note, I've heard people doing this a lot with the title. It can go either way.
