Is transaction feedback and rating scores worth it?

Dont forget to add your experience with traders on this website good or bad. I am currently in the process of a transaction with a member on this site, and it involves shipment and payment by Money Order. Now I normally would not think about sending payment until shipment is received or working out some type of partial payment plan, but this member has over 40 reviews with all of them being favorable and all with great transaction feedback. This feedback is valuable as i have no problems in sending payment and waiting patiently for my package in return. If there was zero feedback, i would have been a lot more cautious in working out payment options. Either way, make sure to rate your transactions as they help out newer members when trying to coordinate payment.

Sorry, but if I have something for sale....I'm not sending it till I get cash in my hands. So if you send a check, I gotta cash it first, if you send a money order I gotta cash it first. T that's just the way it goes. I'm not sending my item without getting payment. If you order something off the internet do you wait till you get the item before you pay for it? That's not how things work. You want to purchase something, you send money, when money arrives, you get sent your item.

You are correct, if its a reputable website, I am paying before I get the item. This being said, the Internet is still the wild, wild west and I would just not deal with shipping an item if a user did not have any or negative feedback. The fact that this user has feedback and its all positive is what allows me with clear conscience to deal with him. If there was zero or negative feedback, I would pass up the deal and find what I am looking for elsewhere. That is the point of this post.

Your point is clear. The feedback system is what sets this community apart from CL and AL. Those are some fine sites but you can't deal with near the confidence. I've had countless problems on CL, it's just part of doing business there. I've never had a major issue here.
