You are gonna be hard pressed to find a Remington 870 anywhere near that price point.
If you want a solid 12ga pump in that price range, you can pick up a brand new Maverick 88 for that... Made by Mossberg, and a lot of the Mossberg 500 parts, like stocks and stuff, are interchangeable... There is almost always a Maverick 88 for sale here for at or just under $200, look in the shotgun section...

I looked and didn't see any good deals here on a Mav88, nor did I see a Remington 870 12ga anywhere near your price point.

Great shotgun, that you can build up if you want, but for $179 BNIB with a warranty, you won't find a better deal in a solid home defense shotgun... If there was one here for close to that price I would say get a used one and contribute to the ODT family, but at that price, its hard to pass up. Get that and save yourself $50 for accessories or ammo...
