It was a rattlesnake

This is just a Python Snake... Isn't ?
It may can swallow you later... BUT as off now, it just clean your yard!!

Look at the color pattern... and the head... It is a Python ...

Canebrake, timber, same exact thing.

You have a lot of them in your neck of the woods. Probably more than you realize.

One year we killed over 50 timbers on the main road of our hunting property. They were doing a lot of developing around us and pushed all those snakes over to us. It got to where every time we were there, we were looking for rattlesnakes. We saw them more times than not...This was in Douglas county.

Here's one an old family friend took from me to do a mount. He was a world champion snake taxidermist back in the 80's..LOL...I killed this feller in late October, while deer hunting. My brother almost stepped on him when I saw him just in time. Now he resides on my desk.
