Up for sale is a scarce 1928 Finnish Model 27 military rifle. It’s one of my favorite models with the “popsicle sticks” attached to the nose cap. This one is second year production with a bit over 11,000 made. Still has the early swiveling sling swivels. It clearly shows WWII use, with at least two stock repairs. It also has the “D” stamp on the top over the barrel shank, showing that the chamber throat had been extended slightly to accommodate the captured Russian 7.62x54r machine gun ammo with the longer, heavier bullets. The receiver is pre-WWII Imperial Russian. The bore shows use, with some wear, but is clean. The bolt is not numbered. It’s a nice representative piece, with lots of character. Comes with an original WWII sling.
That’s the good news. The bad is that it’s missing the cleaning rod and the barrel band is missing its original screw. Both are easy fixes.
That said, the price is now reduced to $450! I can meet you at the Bass Pro Shop Parking lot in Lawrenceville.
Thanks for looking.

Cool cool. Whoever buys this; I would highly recommend going to Liberty tree collectors online for the two missing pieces. They are an amazing source for old and obscure milsurp parts and accessories.
