Item Description: First: This revolver may be refinished. I have no clue.

It has a tight action with a nice pair of Target Diamond stocks. It's lettered to 4-5-1957 (letter included).

The red ramp is lettered to the gun.

S&W did offer refinishing, but they marked the frame with a date to show it as factory work. This one is not marked.

There is a slight variation on the finish on the barrel vs. the finish on the cylinder and frame. It could be the ~1957 change in the way S&W finished the blueing in that era or done by an individual or a 'smith.
