Item Description: 1977 Jeep Cj 5. 304 V8. 4 speed manual (first gear is "granny gear"). Some body rust, but very little frame rust. Runs great. 4wd works. Side exhaust, sounds great. Just bought and wife not too happy with the surprise purchase. Asking $3,900 OBO. No trades.

I had a 79 CJ7 that I surprised the wife with, she wasn't happy either. I just didn't understand. I had always wanted a Jeep, but wasn't going to pay 4 or 5 thousand $$$. I drove this one home for 1500.00. The wife wouldn't ride in it for a couple of years, then she did ride in it a couple of short trips.

I sold it after about 7 or 8 years. They are a lot of fun.

If I didn't just buy another XJ I'd be making my Bride angry with this one too.
