Item Name: Item Gone: FS 1982 Jeep CJ-8 Scrambler
Location: Calhoun
Zip Code: 30701
Item is for: Sale Only
Sale Price: 19500.00
Willing to Ship: No
Bill of Sale Required?: No
Item Description: Up for sale is my 82' Jeep Scrambler. It has the 4.2L (258) straight 6 with the 5 speed manual transmission. It comes with the soft bikini top and the hard half cab top. The half cab top does not have the hardware, so you will need to buy the hardware. Also comes with doors. (obviously) This Jeep has a CLEAN TITLE.
This Jeep is not in showroom condition, but it's not a "project" either. It's something that is a looker you can be proud to own but not so nice you won't do Jeep things in it.
A couple of hiccups, it needs a new carburetor. Cranks up and drives just fine but wants to die out at stop signs and red lights if you don't feather the gas. The ORIGINAL carb is still on it, so yeah, it needs be replaced or rebuilt. It's probably gonna need 4 shocks and I would do an oil pan gasket as well. I may get to some of these things prior to the sale, but price will be somewhat negotiable considering these shortcomings for now.
I just took the these pictures yesterday 7/29/25, so yes, that is what the Jeep looks like right now. Washed it up, took it around the block a few times (but had to feather the gas at stops.) Just needing to clear out a space in the garage.
