Item Description: 1995 Ranger 488vs, Mercury 200efi 2 stroke, Ranger Trail trailer
Trailer is in good shape w/ new tires but has cracked fiberglass wheel cover.
Motor runs good but the pump that automatically mixes the oil with gas hasn’t worked for years and I just mix manually in tank. Old gas was siphoned from tanks and I put on a new fuel filter/water separator and recently had it serviced by North Georgia Watersports in Blairsville to get it checked out and running and replace the impeller. They did cylinder compression test. Numbers in order are 130, 130, 128, 130, 130, 130. Low hours of use but I don’t think there is a way to pull numbers from these older motors. It actually spent most of its life tied to my dock or sitting in the driveway as I fished from the dock...
Boat is probably what you would expect from one that has spent most of its life under a covered dock but still exposed to the elements. Transom is solid, floor is solid, keel is good and there are no cracks or structural damage.
Bench seat upholstery needs replaced as it’s cracked and was molested by an otter. Carpet is thinning in some spots at edges of hatch lids, etc. The rear access hatch lid is cracked and needs reinforced. You can feel it flexing and giving more than it should when you stand on it. All other hatch lids and deck is great. All electronics and switches function. The front switches had the surrounding rubber chewed by previously mentioned otter... The clear coating over the paint on the front right gunnel is cracked and chipping away in one section where the model lettering was originally attached. The rest of the paint just needs serious cleaning and buffing to get it presentable. The tongue jack broke when I was last cranking it up to hookup on my truck so that will need fixed or have a cheap bolt-on attached. The trailer bunks should have carpet replaced.
Has MotorGuide 50 trolling motor and old lcd fishfinders and gps mapping.
It needs new batteries but aside from that should be ready to fish. It’s an old boat so it will need TLC and maintenance... This is a great deal for someone to fish as-is or with a little elbow grease could look and fish like a new one for pennies on the dollar.
