Item Description: I have for sale a perfect vehicle for someone looking for a nice second car, or a nice vehicle for that new driver in the family.

This is a 1996 Toyota Camry that I bought as an “off-lease” vehicle in 1999. I have had this vehicle in my family since then and it has been used by almost everyone in our house!

It currently shows 217,500 miles on the odometer.

This model has the 4 cylinder 2.2L engine.

Automatic transmission with electronic overdrive option, and power ECT transmission option.

The A/C unit has a small leak, which requires a bottle of freon to be added about once per year.

I just put 4 brand new tires on the car about 6 months ago. They have maybe 200 miles on them.

I just bought a brand new battery about 2 months ago.

The interior of the car is almost spotless. The seats, carpet, dash, trim pieces, etc. are easily rated a 9 out of 10. The tint on the rear window is peeling off and needs some elbow work to get it fixed.

The exterior of the car is in “fair” shape. The paint looks good on everything except the hood and rear spoiler.

It is faded badly in several locations on the hood, and the clear coat is peeling and missing on the rear spoiler.

These are the only cosmetic issues with the car.

The only thing this vehicle needs right now is a real good scrubbing.

We have only driven this car about 500 miles per year for the last 3-4 years. It needs a good home.

This would make a perfect project car, second vehicle, or first time drivers car.

The car runs great, smooth, and is nice and clean inside. I have some of the past service records available, and would be happy to let you talk to my mechanic about the cars history or service records.

Asking $2500.00, Or Best Offer. I have the title in hand and it is ready to go.

More pictures are available on request.

Cash only, located in Newnan, GA.

Please e-mail or Pm for any questions or concerns.

Bump..This is an 86
An 86 is the square tiny camry that isn't any bigger than the corolla anymore. I have seen these gen 3 camry with well over 400-500k miles when we'll maintained original drive train too. There is a topic on a toyota forum I'm on that's just one right after the next with 300k mile+. They aren't perfect cars but if I could find one with 30-40k miles on it I would trade my brand new camry for it cause they were better built back then.

Thanks for the bump, but you are incorrect.

As stated above, the 86 models are all square and look quite a bit different. I had a guy look at it yesterday and says he is coming back Saturday to bring the cash.

You know how that goes!!!

Thanks,

Jerry

Yes it's a 1996. This body style rolled out in 92 and it had the fake taillight reflector thing all the way across between the tail lights. In 95 they changed the trunk lid removing the reflector thing and putting the Camry name between the tail lights. Only 2 years of that style 96/96. In 97 they changed the whole car over to the more boxy design. And as mentioned above these are easily 400K mile cars. The Corolla is still the number one selling car in the world and for good reasons. But the Camry is a close second and probably still the number one selling car in the U.S. Kind of a sad statement about the country. But smart people go with what works. If you can hold onto this car until tax time you will have no problem getting your full asking price.
