Buyer beware. I had a deal with the seller for over 24 hours and was going to purchase this for his asking price and as I was leaving to go meet him, he said he wanted $1200. Reluctantly, I even accepted that. Next, he said he’d do it for $1200 but no ammo or mags. Dude sounds like he’s just playing games, trying to get more and more $ out of people though he already agreed to the initial deal. Do your thing but I guess a deal and your word means nothing. Should have guessed from a new member with 0 feedback.

Who did the "Custom" work? With a reputable smith or someone that knows what they are doing, this is properly gassed and the fitment of components are perfect?

The MK18 was contracted through NSWC Crane small arms team to build a CQBR weapon specifically for VBSS operations and other maritime operations. The initial need was a small cal should fired weapons for confined space operations. The original MK18 was constructed under the SOCOM SOPMOD program and was a GI Colt M4 lower (Safe, Semi & Burst) with a contracted DD MK 10.3" upper not like you see today. NSW Crane came up with this system was highly sought after throughout the SOF community due to its reliability and accuracy. It wasn't until 3 years after putting the MK18 you see today through extensive trials and combat rotations that DD now supplies the entire MK18 Build complete.

Take a look at the original CQBR Rifle and what it looked like as well as specifications. (It looks very much so like an m16 just shortened to 10.3" in length.)

This would sell much easier if you wouldn't market this weapon under a false Military designation.

These run $1700-2000 straight from DD. Given the parts, it's a good deal.

Some Sellers neglect to realize, trying to up the price after agreeing on a price, will just leave them without a Buyer. This forum is small and everyone knows about deals gone bad.
