It does not take AK mags, if that's what you are asking. It takes proprietary AR mags, made for the 7.62x39 round.

Looks to be a Bear Creek Arsenal...but that's just conjecture based on the rail and the fact that they make one in this caliber.

The forged upper receiver came from Mueller, no doubt, but to my knowledge, they are not finishing and assembling uppers. Bear Creek does use Mueller uppers, though.
