Considering factory 54 was moved straight from E Block along with all Russian machinists and all materials used to build came straight from Izzy it is a Russian AK. Really though, aside from WASRs with receivers loud as a cow bell due to no mag dimples...any AK platform is the SBC of weapons. I have built over 200 when Romy G kits were 50 bucks in Shotgun News. I had a Steyer import from 81 used in Red Dawn. They were the first imported out of Seacaucus NJ and were almost 2K in 81 money. PARS and Intrac with straight cut butts are best value out there now but...the butthole stock is actually a better shooter.
