Item Name: Item Gone: FS As-is '77 Ford Courier. Ideal parts car, close to working, but...
Location: Dekalb County, close to Emory.
Zip Code: 30324
Item is for: Sale Only
Sale Price: 1000 OBO
Willing to Ship: No
Bill of Sale Required?: No
Item Description: This is a canary yellow '77 Ford Courier. Originally bought for a crazy ex, she abandoned it with me. I got way in over my head trying to restore and re-title it and it needs to move on to someone who can really use it. (I don't even no what the VIN is, as it's weathered away.)
Inline-4, 2.3 Liter, Ford "Lima" engine. The same one in the OG turbo Mustang (without the turbo) and the Pinto.
What is mileage... lol... The engine has been rebuilt, twice.
The truck is in mostly mechanical working order. The only two major issues are that the rear main seal is busted (easy fix) and the Pittman control arm is busted.
The car is drivable with the busted pittman, however it's not fun to drive. I have most of the parts to overhaul the steering except for the actual control arm, which is ridiculously hard to find at a reasonable price. The replacement parts come with the truck.
The interior needs re-upholstering. It's covered in a recycled denim jacket that belonged to the original owner. The bed and body has some rust, but nothing structural. The bed is rhino-lined. Paint is cracking and has a heavy patina. I dunno, she's got lots of "character..." But she needs a new home; I can't properly care for her.
It may be worth it for the custom 4-1 headers I spent way too much on. These headers could maybe even be adapted to fit any car with the Ford Lima in it, but they'll fit best in a Courier.
I really wish I got this car up and running and hate to see it go, but I've got too much on my plate. I hope it can be of some use to somebody else.
