Bruce,
FYI. Beretta has a recoil reduction system which they call "Kickoff", a felt recoil reduction system composed of plastic cylinders with foam plastic "shock absorbers." They sell two versions of most of their shotguns: "Kickoff" and "Non Kickoff", Yours is the non kickoff version.

There is a wide range of opinions, like or dislike on KO. In general, some hunters shooting mostly heavy loads prefer the KO version. With heavy loads, the KO allows the stock to compress, creating movement of the gun, particularlly noticeable at the cheek weld. For some liking the recoil reduction, this is OK.

Lighter load shooters mostly do not feel significant improvement and choose not to have KO for appearance and flexibility of stock length adjustment, etc. (shortening can be easily done. Impossible with KO like what would be on XPlor.)

And many experienced shooters might question the need for a recoil limiter on a 20 guage anyway.

A400's are notoriously soft shooting guns.

And when Beretta says "self cleaning", they are almost 99% accurate. It is truly amazing how little carbon buildup there in in this gun, and how easy it is to clean in just a few minutes.

Someone will jump on this.

Thanks for the clarification, Mr. Davis.

The primary use will be with a youth clay target team so the kick off is a requirement for me.

Good luck with your sale, Mr. Mercer.
