Item Description: I've had this Colt for quite awhile. It has been in my family for about 35 years. It belonged to my father, and he gave it to me 15 years ago. It has not had many rounds through it at all and is in very nice shape. There are a couple marks on it, and I've added photos of them. One on the very end of the barrel and one small scuff on the bottom near the grip. They are both small and not very noticeable. Also included is the original magazine.

Serial No. 70L18xxx

I am open to offers, but not interested in trades. I've seen some really interesting prices listed for this pistol on several other sites.

Ditto. I'd hold onto that one. Especially since your dad gave it to you. Don't you have some junk you could sell if you need the money?

I would avoid using the word "Junk" anywhere in your post in the event this suggestion becomes a reality in the near future. "It's a piece of junk" in the description of whatever the item is, probably won't bring a lot of favorable response....This comment was offered only as a point of humor..:)...As others have pointed out...Nice Colt.

It's not that I don't appreciate the history and rarity of this, but I am not much of a collector, and neither was my father. He was surprised several years ago when I looked up the value of this Colt. The function was more important than the form. He gave it to me as a home defense weapon, not as a collectors item. There you have it.

Just think what it could be worth in another 35 years.
