I know man. I'm kind of just ball busting. I would be first in line for this thing if I thought there was a reasonable chance I might get it. I been looking for a double 10 for a minute. I'm not saying you personally aren't a trustworthy guy, I don't know you. Nobody here knows you. I'm just saying, as far as the internet goes. Brand new guy, first post, out of state, send money order, prince in Nigeria, etc....

He was being sarcastic. That means "not serious".

You are possibly making a huge mistake if you are going to mail someone a check for something and trust that they send you that something.

Even more so if that person is out of state, even more so if they have no rating.

I wouldn't do that even if they had 200 positives and no negatives and lived in Dallas GA. :)

If you are really interested, (and not joking), you should drive to KY, or have them drive here, or meet halfway.

I sold a gun to a guy in Indiana last year, or 2014, I forget.
He sent me the money order just based on a phone call and a couple of texts between me and him. I offered to mail him a good photocopy of my DL before he sent the funds, but he said that wasn't necessary.
I made sure that the name and address of his FFL was legit-- that it was a real licensed FFL dealership. It could have been a basement FFL and been OK with me, but it was a real brick-and-mortar retail store. The deal went through just fine.

As for this guy in northwestern Kentucky, is it possible that he could deliver the shotgun to a local stocking FFL dealer up there, and that a buyer in another state (like Georgia) can then call this gun shop in KY and confirm the gun is there, is the make and model and condition as it is supposed to be, and that it is for sale?
Then we can send the funds to the seller and, at the same time, send notice to the dealer saying the gun is sold and will soon need to be shipped to XYZ buyer in Georgia.

I see there's a dealer in Ownesboro, KY called Whittaker Guns. That's only 29 miles east of the seller's town of Robards.
