Item Description: For sale or trade, a 1966 Smith and Wesson Model 19-2, .357 Combat Magnum revolver with the most desirable 2-1/2" barrel with original factory Blued. Finish. This, as they say, is what "Old School" Smith & Wesson is truly all about. The Model 19 is one of the most popular revolvers S&W ever produced. Manufactured in 1966, this beauty has desirable features no longer available on today's modern machine-made guns- like a hammer-mounted firing pin, pinned barrel, recessed cylinders, and of course, the absence of that ugly lock. This is what I would consider a very nice shooter grade. This would make for an excellent Truck gun. The action and timing on this firearm are dialed in perfectly. I just do not currently have time to shoot with a newborn, plus I need to downsize a little, so my loss is your gain.
This revolver is not for you if you are looking for a mint collector piece, it does have wear it does have a little pitting it does have bluing loss. However, it still shows its age well, and it is a DASH 2 you just do not find these every day. These usually bring a significant premium over a dash 3 or 4.
Currently, wearing some Goodyear grips, happy to discuss other options.
