Item Description: I’m moving across the country and I’m trying to slim down what I have. So unfortunately that means I have to sell my truck. It’s a 2001 Ford F-150 XLT 4.2 L V6 5 speed manual with 245,400 miles on it.
It’s showing its age cosmetically but I just took it on a 900 mile road trip and I’d do it again without thinking.
The good:
- New tires
- 1 year old battery
- New plugs, wires and coils
- Completely new front end suspension
- New shocks
- New air filter
- Coolant flush
- Fresh oil change
- Just passed emissions test
The bad:
- The odometer sometimes glitches out, a known issue with the solder that Ford used. It’s a simple fix but you do have to take the dash off.
- A/C doesn’t work. The system is fully charged so it could be a fuse or the compressor.
- Passenger side rear door doesn’t open. A known issue with the plastic cables that Ford used becoming brittle and breaking. It’s a simple fix I just don’t want to mess with it.
