That's not an '06 Denali. Looks like a 2007 model, and if it has the 6.2 L engine, it came with Active Fuel Management.

Yea my bad it is a 2007, but it does not have AFM or DOD, it’s aluminum block not iron block and the earlier one

If you look at the specifications section of the engine details, it specifies cast aluminum block, and it features AFM. I reckon the only way yours would not have AFM is if someone deleted/removed it.

It is not AFM, it’s the earlier one.
I own a shop and work on these, pretty sure I know what it is.
It’s the early version.
