this gun has killed many deer an wild hogs.. even shot some ground hogs, an quite a few squirrels with reduced loads in its life span. I would not hesitate to take this gun on any deer or hog hunt tomorrow..it has a few battle scars, but has always functioned. taught my son to shoot with it an he killed his first deer with it,
i am willing to answer any questions or help any one wanting to learn black powder shooting, as i have been shooting for over 50 yrs. I shoot a 50 cal T/C with a round ball barrel, an hunted with it for 25 years, very successfully i might add.
some young hunter would love to have this vintage gun, as they dont make it any more...
