Item Description: Possibly a Hand Forged leather knife but it would work pretty good for cutting whale blubber...
Maybe it's a long to a ninja named Mills...

I could find absolutely nothing on the blacksmith the steel is very hard and blade is very sharp I did clean it up a little bit but not overly so...

You can see the cartouche/stamp in the photo. It is approximately 9 and 1/2 in wide and approximately 7 and 1/2 in tall it is a wonderful piece of History and there's no telling how old it is...

I did all the research I could and found nothing on the name...

I am also leaning towards an Ulu - type device, but just my opinion and not based on historic verification. However, depending on age and origin, that could be some pretty good steel right there. It might be missing the current additives like car bumpers, cheap alloys, and grandma's old metal tooth....

It is old... and hard too. Fairly sharp. I don't think this was made from fiat bumpers... You really have to feel it to appreciate it.

Beleve it to be made in Newfoundland based ok a little research regarding size and shape... probably 1800's.
