There's nothing wrong with poly lowers if made right. Lowers don't get too hot (Nylon will take about 650F before it starts to deteriorate) and they don't see any extreme stress. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one. The federalis are gonna get you before you smoke the rifle anyway.
