Item Description: Like new Marlin xs7. Chambered in 7mm-08. I traded for this gun unfired, had the barrel professionally broken in at a local master gunsmith's. Also had an inch and a half taken off the barrel, custom muzzle brake welded on. It's also been dura-coated and is virtually weather-proof. All work done at ACRW Gun Shop in Ringgold, GA. Invoices for everything. Included break-in, sight-in, and hunting purposes, this rig has less than 50 rounds down the tube.

I have the factory synthetic stock as well as a Boyd's Custom Featherweight Thumbhole stock, finished in Nutmeg with a Pachmyer Decelerator recoil pad. Very nice setup.

Topped with a 2016 model Leupold vx2 4-12×40. Flawless, no scratches.

Also included is some premium ammo:
3 rounds - Winchester 140gr ballistic silver tips
20 rounds - Nosler Accubond 140gr
20 rounds - Hornady Superformance 139gr SSTs

This rig is super accurate. Nickel and quarter sized groups all day long with any of the ammo I've got. Might do better on hand loads. I've tricked it out and killed a few deer with it. Got well over $1000 invested but it's time to go another direction. Got my eye on something else already.

With the muzzle brake and recoil pad, this gun would make an excellent first rifle for a kid, or a mountain rifle for us seasoned vets. It's been used, but always babied, kept clean, and sleeps in the safe every night.

Serious inquiries only please. Text is best 2five6 3ohthree sixty365

What are you looking for to go in a different direction? I have been looking for a 7/08 but it is rare to find one that is descent. I live in Marietta, Ga and have no clue how far apart we are??
I have several quality weapons and hunting rifles I could do a trade with, if you are interested.
I know cash is king but I am retired and my wife is going through cancer treatments. I have good rifles in various calibers. If interested, let me know wha you are looking for.

Sent you a pm. We are about an hour and 15 apart

I was just looking at the pics again in your post. I do have a couple of questions. One, is the trigger pull adjustable? Two, any chance you can text me a close up pic of the muzzle brake? Also, who makes the brake? I am just curious about those things, not getting cold feet!
Larry

The trigger is indeed adjustable. The muzzle break is custom. It's one-off, done for ACRW Gunworks here in Ringgold by a supplier with patents pending I believe. Reduction of recoil by up to 30% BUT...not any louder. Don't ask me how, but it's very much true. I'll text you some pics when I leave the gym.
