The Century arms stamp says 2008 but Howard’s gun in Macon told me it was a Vz58 when I bought it. I’m not really sure what the difference is. I’ve googled it both ways and they look identical...

The vz2008 is a Century Arms made clone of the vz58. The vz58 is the original rifle, made in the Czech republic, it's much harder to obtain and therefore much pricier. Vz2008 is still a good rifle though.

Technically it's a clone of a VZ58, they shouldn't have called it that. Big difference in value.
