Item Description: Chilean Mauser 1912/61 chambered in .308. Action is buttery smooth and super accurate. Comes with about 75 rounds of ammo in a small plastic ammo box.
Background on these guns:
These mausers were made in Austria in 1912, then given to the Chilean army at some point. Once Chile joined nato in 1961, they rechambered these to 7.62x51/.308. They either replaced or re-bored the chamber and barrel. This one seems to be a re-bore since the serials still match the stock. The bolt was replaced and has a different serial.
