These gatling Guns were purchased directly from COLT during one of their many austerity programs ordered by their bankruptcy trustee.
Mark received 10 of the guns which were not sold and they had been in storage for many years . Colt has and still does use many outside vendors in the creation of many of their firearms. The caller of the weapon was listed in rhett papers received with the shipment.
some of the guns were tested fired, with no negative results. I have no idea where you received your info. The prices were determined between the costs and the owners assessment of the gun.
