This rifle is not milspec. Milspec rifles are tested to a different 5.56 gas pressure tolerance. Milspec rifles also have the dust cover and forward assist. This rifle does not. Though hitting the end of the stock can usually suffice as a forward assist.

You say you dont want one with sights? soooooo cut them off just above the gas block area this creates a low profile gas block. Then get a Free float Pic rail and mount it. About another 300.00 and you have what you want!
