Nah they just whine that its too soon, let them bury the body first and then the mods disable comments, I am so sick of hearing the ODT was a tight knit brotherhood, what a load of bull. In the real world most of these guys would slit your throat for a handful of ammo and a can of beenie weenies. This site is for buying, trading firearms, ammo, and accessories. I have met some cool people along the way that I believe to be good people that might just share the beenie wenies.

It used to be a cool place for cool deals... You could almost always save a few bucks over retail on pretty much everything...

Now, its Craigslist for Gun. Scammers, unlicensed dealers, flippers, etc...

If you criticize or point it out, the mods ding you or move it to the Pasture and try to bury it... Their interest is clicks for ad revenue. So to them, even bad deals and flipping, is money. Keeping the place the way it used to be, doesn't pay as well as the ****show that the place has become...

I don't mind any sort of comments on anything I'd post, and I'd rather not have 'mods' limit, censor or stop them, or trashcan the ad - I believe the option is there for me as an OP to delete anything I feel not germane to the post's purpose.

AFAIK, most people here are over 21 (or can be shown eligible) for most of the purchase situations here.

From what I see, this site is to trade or sell anything related to "the outdoors;" some of participants have paid money for the privilege. I don't recall where it says I have to make nice with somebody that thinks they're "longtime, exempt ODT'ers."

I dont know anything about any of that, prices are higher, but there are still some deals on here. I know my time here is relatively short compared to most, but I have noticed a huge uptick in whining and bitching.

Yes...there are deals here still to be made, and ESPECIALLY those that can help some ODT'er from trying to sell their wares to a PAWN SHOP. No matter how they try to gussy up their name, it's still a PAWN shop where they'll offer your at least half what your stuff is worth. Maybe more if they think you're stupid...

I sell stuff for what I paid. I look at what I paid, and I look at what its still selling for in the retail world, and I price it accordingly. I don't go by ODT pricing because ODT isn't in any way aligned with market pricing.

I live in an area with several pawn/gun stores and cant stand any of them, they will rip you off or just be rude and act like they do not want your business. Matter of fact there are several LGS that I will not step foot in, their names come up on here often. I buy off of this site, if the price is too high then I move on, no big deal, no need for me to make a whining comment about how its a rip off or a flipper.

Depends on the market and your buying power, there are some prices on here that are incredibly high and there are some that line up. There are two LGS near my work, one is 10 minutes north and the other 10 minutes south, one is incredibly high the other is slightly higher than last year. both are having a hard time getting goods and stay extremely busy.

My local stores are packed every day and selling guns hand over fist at last year's prices... Don't know what to tell ya...

I am sure they are and I know those stores, I live in the same area. But what a store does is not the same as an individual. A store has the buying power to buy cheap enough to sell for profit. If an individual buys gun for x ,decides they do not want it and can sell for profit who cares.

Because it ruined this place. Should they be allowed to? Of course.

Although some are breaking the law when they do it, because they go and buy guns for the purpose, with the intent to just flip them and make money. Some of us feel that encouraging that here, or at least turning a blind eye to it, will eventually lead to this place ending up on the nightly news and getting shut down... But some folks only look to the short term gain, and ignore the long term consequences...
