Item Description: Marlin 336 "JM" Stamped, Gold Trigger chambered in 30-30 with a Bushnell Sportsman 4x32 scope.

If I am not mistaken, serial number code 91 shows the manufacture year 2009, so it was manufactured before Marlin was sold. I have owned it since 2010, so that would add up.

I have shot this rifle maybe once to check the zero. Other than that, it has always stayed in the safe. It is in very good condition overall.

I am mainly looking for cash to roll into other builds, but I will entertain trades for something that interests me. I would entertain trades on AR parts (lower parts kit, triggers, upper parts, complete uppers) + Cash, straight trade, or plus boot on my end for the right parts. Still interested in a Scorpion or Stribog. I am a sucker for 1911s. Not looking for complete ARs, AKs, black powder, shotguns, wheel guns, or strings and sticks. Other than that, try me.

The price is $850 cash, $950 trade value.

Located in the Macon/ Gray/ Milledgeville area. I would be willing to meet within a reasonable distance.

It’s possible it was made during their transition, Original JM were marked with serial number on the tang. Im sure its an original JM barrel. Its a nice rifle for sure.

My little research shows 91 is a 2009 build date, and Marlin was purchased in 2014. I just went back to try to verify that information, and I am seeing 2008 as the year Remington purchased Marlin. It looks like you are correct. It is a transition year. I appreciate the heads-up because I was certainly wrong.
