Sometime in 2011 the serial number prefix became MR. This was done in conjunction with the sale of Marlin, and subsequent move to the Remington Arms plant in Ilion, NY. Once receivers started being manufactured at the Ilion, NY, plant the prefix became MR so this would be some time after '11. I haven't determined how to date one after the Remington take over beyond that yet. Hope this helps. Hopefully the OP had a better idea if he was the original purchaser he can get you closer.
