Item Description: Please look at the pictures I have attached and read the listing! This is a Remington Rand 1911 that has been hand engraved by the ENGRAVER guild at one time BEN SHOSTLE if you do not know who he is look him up and pull his stuff up on GunBroker all you have to do is type his name in and look what stuff sell for!!!! I have had this gun verbally appraised at Rock Island auction company at $10,000. They also said if I could verify that it was General Patton’s that it would be a six figure gun. I have tried for years now to get this authenticated with no avail, all I ever do is run into dead end. All of the people that could possibly verify it is dead. that being said, it is a super rare and collectible piece, just being engraved by him. I am going to list it on here one time and then possibly run it through GunBroker! Asking $10,000 I am not wanting to trade unless it is more than my asking price.

Must be a Georgia resident and legal to on this firearm.

I am not wanting to travel to do a deal it would be local.

I changed my listing that I will ship, but it will be a cleared payment before the gun is shipped and it will be from my FFL to your FFL on your dime! you can look at my feedback and tell I am legit.

Please look at photos. I am going to attach a bunch look where the grip goes, and these are real mother of pearl grips.

Yes sir I have seen that same 1911 there. Trust me I have done a ton of research. I actually got emails with his grandson Benjamin Patton that I can show someone it actually looked like his fathers instead of his grandfather, but both of them was generals and highly decorated, he actually wrote a book about his father since he was not known as well as his grandfather, but just as decorated! he thought the same thing that it was probably a presentation gun to his father, but without a photo of him holding it, it is hard to verify! like you said, either way, it is a time piece and highly collectible from that ENGRAVER. He has long been dead as well.
Seems a simple Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request could clear this up. That is, if it was given or presented to him in any official capacity.

Yeah, good luck. I’ve been trying for two years even without it being linked to General Patton. It is worth my asking price just being engraved by Ben Shostle! Pull up some of his stuff on gun broker and see what they are asking just type his name in the search bar Google search some of the previous sales from auctions. Like I’ve said several times in this post I had it appraise by Rock Island auction company and that’s what they appraised at $10,000 verbally said it could go through the roof depending on who got on it.

As soon as you sent that to me, I called one of my buddies who is a federal agent and this is his text back to me. He said it is for prosecution purposes only what you’re talking about. you can see our text

Not that I’m saying your friend is wrong, but the Freedom of Information Act is a real thing. It’s how I was able to get the history on my CMP 1911 Colt. It’s the same act that allows everyday citizenry to procure police body cam footage, etc. Free through the department of justice for me.
