New cable with quick couplers. $3 per foot and include the couplers:
One new 2/0 size 75' length with welding quick couplers for $225.
One yellow 1/0 size 50' length used cable with welding quick couplers for $100. It has a few nicks in the insulation. Copper is good.
Used cable:
It's about 3/4" on the outside of the insulation. It's about 1/2" copper cable on the inside. You decide what gauge it is.
The used cable is NOT perfect. All have dry cracks that don't go through to the copper, but a couple have a nick that do. None would pass an OSHA inspection to be used on a job site, but all would work for backyard projects.
Put it in a non-conductive conduit, even a garden hose, and use it for a winch, or heavy stereo amp, or wrap it and make super heavy duty jumper cables.
I have run some through an old garden hose for tractor battery cables.
Ground cable for welder - I use them on a stick welder.
