Still have this? I can't seem to verify if it is American made or imported (My guess is imported). My brother has one and it was supposedly imported. If it says Norton TP-70 it was made stateside supposedly (Mich & Florida).

It was illegal to import pistols this size during the years the manufacturer/designer was in business. (Still is for that matter).

It may have been made stateside, but all I know is it is not the more notorious Norton pistol, who's quality was purported to be much lower than the Budichowsky.

Dug up this on it:
The Michigan made Budischowski's were made by the 'Norton Armament Corp' in Mt Clemens, Michigan.
They were heavily involved in defense type armament mfg contracts.

Norton had several other off-shoot businesses,,all under the direction of guy by the name of Paul Norton Van Hee (Jr?). His wife was involved in the businesses also.
Van Hee was charged and convicted in Fed count in the 70's of either selling or attempting to sell some sort of military veh to Spain or Portugal.
He got a few years probabtion out of it IIRC, but it ended the string of his businesses & the mfg of the Budischowski at Mt Clemens.

American Arms of Miami mfg them next I believe.
The original was made in Germany by Korriphilia (sp?) as the TP70 but the GCA'68 stopped importation. Enter Norton Armament at that point.
Edgar (Edward?) Budischowski was the guns designer.

A search on VanHee might give more info about the Mt Clemens location of Norton Armament Corp.

Item Description: Hello ODT! Up for sale is a very rare pocket pistol that is usually only found on Gunbroker. This is a Budichowsky TP-70. This manufacturer was only in existence from 73-79. Budichowsky is a Czech firearm designer who was based out of Germany.

These pistols were primarily chambered in .25 acp, with the .22lr pistols only being produced for 1 yr. All stainless steel, no pot metal here. A hybrid of a Colt Mustang and Walther TPH, the design, fit, and finish of this lil pistol is awesome. Will cycle Federal bulk ammo which is a bonus. 6 rd capacity (comes with 1 mag total additional mags can be purchased from TripleK), DA/SA trigger (3 lb pull in DA / 1 lb pull in SA), last shot hold open capability too (actually works too), and original box.
