Item Description: Remington model 7 build. I bought the receiver bolt trigger and piccolo rail years ago when the AAC over runs were being sold.
I bought PTG oversized barrel lug and factory heavy barrel 223 from a factory Remington rifle.
I had the receiver face of the barrel cut and tried to be at 0 space on a 556 go gauge. Minimum chamber specs. It is at zero. The bolt will not close on a 5.56 go gauge when gently closing the bolt. I tried Winchester white box and my reloads and the bolt closes easily. If I were going to use it for general shooting, I would probably get someone with a finish reamer to go one thousands deeper.
The factory barrel stamping is timed perfectly.
It is threaded 1/2 28. It was threaded with the shoulder when I got it. I assume it is ready for a specific adapter.
I have 325 in it. It will make a nice unique Model 7 with factotum bottom metal and a stock or a decent target rifle for a smaller person with a good stock.
I paid $325 for the parts and I realize I am not going to take the time to finish it.
Would consider trading for a complete rifle and add cash on my end as necessary.
