When I was shopping for a 6" barreled stainless .357, that's what I really wanted. A 686.
I settled for a cheaper gun, the model 66. Which is OK, and I like it, but I'd have liked the 686 more, I think. I should have coughed-up the extra bucks back in the day (late 1990s).
