I would not recommend a .22 for most people to use as a self defense weapon. That being said it is better than nothing and if you are completely new to firearms it is a good starter handgun or if you are unable to properly operate a larger caliber then 10 rounds of .22LR on target is much better than 2 or 3 rounds of something else that is no where near your target.

Taurus TX22 is part of my safe cleanout. Comes with one mag only.
Shows holster wear but is a great little shooter. Train with low cost and great accuracy.
