Item Description: That's right ladies and gentleman, the 1991 Ford Festiva is back. This car is kindof an ODT Icon and it is once again available and better than ever. I bought this car for my son as a first car (yes he still talks to me) mainly to teach him how to drive a 5 speed and teach him some humility. Now he just bought himself a F150 so the bad ass Festiva is once again available.

When I bought this car the speedometer didn't work and the battery was shot. New battery and speedometer cable and it is like a brand new car! Yes that's right, the speedometer actually works now and functions up to 300 mph. Oh yeah, it's fast (not really.)

What this car has.

The entire suspension, axles, wheels, tires, etc have been swapped out with a 99 Aspire giving this car 13 inch wheels instead of the original 12" wheels making tire buying oh so easy. But wait, it has brand new tires on it so you don't need to worry about that for at least another 250,000 miles. When I bought it the front end was pretty loose. I took it to my mechanic who was blown away, everything under the car was brand new......except the tie rod ends. Whoever did the swap tried using the original tie rod ends which were too short causing the looseness I was feeling. A couple new aspire tie rod ends and BAM we were back in business.

The engine and transmission are also out of same said Ford Aspire giving you at least 13 horse power and a 2.5 foot lbs of torque.

The driver and passenger seat are also out of same said Aspire making the interior of this bad boy feel like first class on a 747.

The custom aftermarket stereo system sounds great.....in whatever car the previous owner moved it to. This car just has a handy hole the hold your gun where the stereo use to be.

44 Magnum Shift knob. BOOM! sound effects while shifting gears will need to be provided by you after purchase.

Windshield comes pre chipped and cracked so you don't have to get pissed when a rock hits it.

Fully custom Krylon Camo paint job. Get lost while sitting in traffic in this dream ride while everyone else looks on you in envy. Lose your car in the woods and file and insurance claim, whatever!

Fuel gauge, windshield wipers, automatic seatbelts, speedometer, temperature gauge, and testosterone boosters all function flawlessly.

BRAND NEW BATTERY!!!

TWO KEYS!!!

GAS CAP!!!

DOOR HANDLES!!!

HEADLIGHTS!!!

CUSTOM YETI STICKER!!!

YELLOW AIR FRESHENER!!!

Proactive birth control option installed.
Any parent who buys this for a teenage boy will never need to be concerned with unexpected pregnancies! Just look at that back seat!

Odometer shows 310,454 miles however since the speedometer cable was gone when I bought the car we have no idea how many miles were put on the car while it was non functional.

Seriously though. This car is ugly as sin, but runs like a top. I drove it home from Dallas when I bought it and my son has put several thousand miles on it over the last year while learning how to drive a stick. I wouldn't want to drive this car across country and honestly I wouldn't even trust it to make it. However if I was looking for a cheap car to teach a teen driver how to drive a stick in, or a cheap backup A to B car, I would not hesitate to use this bad boy. Honestly if I didn't already have 11 tagged vehicles sitting in my driveway I would be keeping this one as a spare. Everything seems to work on it for the most part. It is a 26 year old car so of course it's no Lambo.

I'll have to check my records from way back, it's got me wondering now.
It had to be a Metro or a Subaru Justy which did look a lot like a Festiva. Those are the only 3 cylinder cars I can recall. The Festiva was a 1.3 liter 4 cylinder. It was the first car made and imported to the U.S. by Kia. It was known as the Kia Pride and or the Mazda 121 in other countries. You can take the turbo motor from the early 90s Capri (Miata ripoff) and drop it into the Festiva with very few mods.

Being a previous owner of this beast (and being the guy who classed it up with the custom camo paint job), i can say that it actually really is a good little car. It is reliable and fun to drive. Not mention the stares and thumbs up you get. Sometimes people with teeth even wave and seem to like it! I used as a daily driver and a woods buggy and it got around very well. I am glad that it has become such an icon here on the ODT.
