May I ask how you are able to run a background check ?
Are you a dealer or do you plan on meeting at a dealer and have them run it ?

Personally, I wouldn't mind having a dealer run my info. (In fact, I have a carry permit, so even a dealer doesn't have to run mine)
But myself, along with most people on this site are not willing to give over our personal info to a complete stranger that we have never met.

I urge you to conduct your business however you like. Just be aware that the majority of people aren't willing to just hand over personal info to a stranger.

Man, it's your gun and your terms of sale, and I certainly respect that.

The VAST majority of members here are good, honest people. Might I offer the suggestion if a member has great feedback on numerous transactions, you can trust them to do business with.

Or, perhaps a general Bill of Sale with a members name and phone number?

Once again, I can appreciate your diligence to cover the legal aspect of selling a firearm. But, in this age of identity theft, folks are not going to give a stranger the type of personal information you're seeking.
