I am a Glock newbie. Are these the same for the Gen 3 and 4 G27?

I'm sorry to have taken a while getting, back, but yes there is a difference between Gen3 and Gen4. The Gen3's are great if you're right handed and never intend to flip the magazine release, because they don't work with a left handed setup. The Gen4's do. And, the work in Gen1,2 and 3 guns as well. You tell them apart by the metal exposed in the mag at the release points, and the side relief on both sides. Sorry to be wordy. This is a Gen4. It works with everything.
