Item Description: FM Hi Power. Built in Argentina on FN machinery, under FN supervision. Argentine contracted with FN in Belgium to begin producing Hi Powers in Argentina during the late 1960's as a substitute/supplemental handgun for the national police, guard units, and military. Unlike clones, the Argentine pistols are actual Hi Powers built under license. When military/police needs were finished, FM began to produce the pistols for commercial sales in the 1980's/1990's with a enamel type finish.
That is what we have here today. I have actually taken it and my Browning apart and interchanged parts. I am not going to tell you it shot better than my Browning, but it hung right there with it. My 40+ year old eyes and small sights kept me from shooting better. Want to try a Hi Power but not make the expensive investment? This is a way to get into one cheaply.
