Item Description: JC Higgins Deluxe Model 20, 12 gauge pump shotgun, 2 3/4" chamber, 5+1 capacity, 26" barrel. These were built by High Standard for Sears from '46-'61 (best internet sleuthing puts this one as made in '49) and has a glass smooth action. Factory installed 'Power Pak' choke system with a long range choke (changeable but this is the only one I have). The 'on/off' switch on the left side of the chamber is a magazine shutoff switch that allows you to empty the chamber without reloading. Slam fire capable if you like that. These are usually found in fairly rough condition, this one has rarely been shot and is in excellent condition save for a spot on the left side of the barrel (see picture). These are very well made, hefty shotguns that are a great value.
