Besides the logo what's the difference between this lower and a psa? I'm talking about the actual lower not lpk, trigger or stock etc. like if I put both stripped lowers beside one another besides logo what makes it so much better? Also with a milling/engraving machine you could buy 80% lower mill them out and engrave their logo make some mad money pretty easy

Knights Armament has vigorous QC and testing procedures. Plus the quality of the parts is much superior to the same parts in a PSA. There are a lot more hands on with each upper and lower assembled receivers. The most important thing is the acceptable tolerances of the parts used by KA are much tighter than the bulk parts PSA uses. Their tolerances are all over the map that's the reason why they get them so cheap. You get a much better built product with knights Armament as opposed to PSA that just slaps all the parts together and sends it out the door. I would venture to say that you would be hard-pressed to find somebody that had a KA rifle with a flaw in the build and parts. That's just simply not the case with the PSA rifles. I'm sure PSA's shop has shelves and shelves of rifles that need to be repaired and returned back to customers. The Knights armament SR/15 is a true battle rifle and is used as such. The difference between the two is night and day. Another difference is the PSA cost 599 bucks. The SR/15 goes for around 5,100 smackaronies.

I personally think you pay for the name. I have checked plenty of lower cost lowers with go no go gauges and micrometers have also done the same with higher end lowers. They all are within mil-spec. I honestly believe with lowers you pay for the name kind of like shoes. I think buy a cheap lower sink money in lpk, trigger, stock, and upper.

I wouldn't buy one. I trust mine just fine. If 1,800 won't get the job done then to heck with it. The main advantage is resale. You can't get 900 out a custom build if that. The KA will hold its value for years to come. That's what sets them apart from a PSA. A PSA can be bought for 400 to 700. I have seen members post theirs for sale for 1,000 bucks but their smoking some really good drugs and I mean really powerful. You can catch them on sale for 199 for a complete lower and 299 for a complete upper. How that equates to 1000 bucks escapes the H E double LL out of me..

I always thought a lower is a lower until I got my Noveske. There is a difference...the milling after the forging is "cleaner". You can tell extra time was spent on it. Now, is it enough quality to justify the extra cost?? Probably not... especially at the cost of a Knights lower, but there definitely is a difference. As far as functionality, my PSA works just as well as my Noveske.
