Item Description: Kimber Micro 9 ESV has porting on the front of the slide (barrel is not ported), ball mill cocking serrations, a Titanium Nitride (TiN) coated barrel. This makes for an absolutely fantastic self-defense/daily carry sidearm. Two -7 round magazine, with Night sights. Clambered in 9mm Luger (9x19 PARA)

I believe that’s called a “cut” slide, not ported. It’s done for weight reduction generally. When the barrel is cut or drilled is usually done to compensate for recoil, thus the term compensated…
