Item Description: Up for sale is a Finnish M/28-30 Mosin. It’s in fantastic shape! It’s dated 1939, the serial number dates it before the Winter War, and was made by SAKO. It has matching numbers on the receiver and bolt. This M28/30 has a Civil Guard district number of S-96117 (which is most likely the Etelä-Pohjanmaa itäinen district).
The bolt actions well with a very smooth trigger for a milsurp. This piece of history from Finland is also D marked which has the throat cut for the heavier Finnish grained 7.62x54R. It was Arsenal refinished by the Finnish military which is quite common for these rifles. It is not missing any hardware except for the cleaning rod.
